Lets start with one of his first documentarys called A Blank on the Map, 1971. The production was set around the Highlands of New Guinea. The natives that lived there and the land they lived on had never had contact with Europeans before. Using aerial map Daivd, Laurie Bragg ( a govenment officail ) and a team of 101 antional police marched through the jungles to areas with less foliage in the hope they would find farms made by the natives. The party had no luck in finding any natives, although they found a substantial amound of evidence protaining to thier existance. Luckily days before they were planing to go home they, the natives emrged from the forest. Very little was known about the natvies that lived there, the only piece of information they had to go by on was the name the natives called themsevlves. After calling the name of the natives. The next morning a group of men appiered. The two parties met and tried to comunicate to the best of their abilitie, and they even began to trade with one and other. They recieved taro and bananas from the natives and were suprised that items such as newspaper and beads were not as valuable to them, compared to other tribes within the area. However the tribes men did accept salt. Then Bragg asked if they could come to the natives village. After the proposal David Attenborough, Braggs and one cameraman they followed three natives into the jungle, but some how the group lost each other in the jungle, and the natives were never seen again.
